FIRST WEEK STATUS REPORT

So the first week (for Scad any ways) has officially ended!

Hooray! I have a raging hate love relationship with the first week classes. I love the newness and excitement of the prospect of learning things I actually care about and seeing who's in my classes and if the professor is cool or not. On the other hand thought, there's always the confusion of finding the building and room, getting on the right bus or finding out that you have a class with the only kid you hate in the entire school... either way, I'm glad the affair is only a week, then its just another everyday thing that swings into habit for the long haul.

Class 1- Survey of Sequential art

Basically the history of comics, which I'm totally OK with. The professor is a blast which is a good thing at 8am cause if he was a monotonous talker I would sleep. Then fail. No doubt. But he is lively and used to create a daily comic strip himself so he has legit experience in the industry and knows his stuff. Awesome. There are only two girls I know, but a few others decided early on to make themselves memorable trying or not.

Biggie-not-Smalls was trying. Hard. This kid was so freakin obnoxious and loud and not funny and made sure everyone knew. He was wearing on even the professor... I'm going to hate this guy.
Blonde Dreads was practically the opposing force to Biggie, in fact I'm not even sure he would've stuck out if he hadn't've made a point to blatantly ridicule him. I like this guy already, he's great.
Stripes is fun, kind of like a awesome Christmas puppy. He's super chill, but is still an active class member and not freakin annoying.
Chad is only memorable because he looks like Stripe's twin brother.

Class 2 was Fiction writing.
I AM STOKED ABOUT THIS CLASS. Its gonna be so mega rad that I can't even fathom is right now. The professor is cool and just kinda chillax (yeah I said that) and everyone is totally into whats going down. Already we've had stories about the swapping of female genitalia, prison rape, and just crazy stuff. I do wish you guys were in this class with me though :( It would totally rock so much more. I guess the universe just can't handle that level of epicness.

Class 3 is intro to sequ.
This professor is BIZARRE...but I think in an ok way. He loves FLCL, which I guess is cool by you guys, I still need to finish it XD. He likes cats the best because when its their time they'll just go curl up and die unlike dogs who usually end up getting put down. I think he's potentially still in his 20s or early 30s. He has a Canadian (or hipster) beard. Also my desk is way to close to his. Diagram will come later.
Odd kid is in this class with me. This is legitimately the first time I've seen him in clothes besides grey shirt, brown plaid shorts. No kidding. For a year now. This dude is super odd, but I totally like him. Its a cool kind of odd, like Riley minus the asshole and the pirate. Possibly with some Kyle thrown in.

On another note I found this kid's comp. book in fiction writing. The whole thing was filled with random half asses ink sketches that took up whole pages. They were way stupid, but so stupid that they were AMAZING! Pics later.

Anyway, no one reads this blog.

Almost done with the first week now...

So I guess I outta wait to write this by all rights... I really should shouldn't I? :C
